In this workshop the only metal option available is sterling silver.
Join me for an exciting introduction to jewellery making session where you will make your own sterling silver ring. This is a very easy and stress free introduction to jewellery making before you decide to join other workshops or the quarterly hobby class sessions. In this workshop you’ll learn a range of traditional silversmithing techniques, including how to:
* Measure, cut, and shape sterling silver wire to your ring size
* Use a jeweller’s saw and files to refine your design
* Solder your ring with a blowtorch
* Add your own textures and patterns with hammers and tools, or add names with letter stamps
* Polish your finished ring to a bright or matte shine
You’ll leave with a lovely single sterling silver ring to show off to your friends — all made by you.
Your Workshop Includes
* 3 hours of guided tuition and demonstrations to a sterling silver ring
* Sterling silver plate and wire
* Silver solder, saw blades, sandpaper
* Full use of studio tools and equipment
The Studio
Workshops are held in my home-based studio in Feilding, Manawatū. The space is bright, well-ventilated, and comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests — perfect for small groups who want to learn, create, and connect. A small kitchenette is available for refreshments, and there’s plenty of free parking on site.
What to bring
Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes, no loose long sleeves or scarfs, and tie back long hair. This is for your own safety while we use the blowtorch to solder your pieces.
Whether you’re new to silversmithing or just love to create, this workshop is a relaxed and rewarding way to spend the day — and you’ll go home wearing your own handcrafted silver ring.

Sat 21 March - Introduction to Jewellery Making Workshop
I understand that plans sometimes change, and I’ll always do my best to be flexible. However, because each workshop requires advance preparation and materials, the following cancellation terms apply to all bookings:

Cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled workshop date will incur a 30% cancellation fee.

Cancellations made within 6 days of the workshop date will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Cancellations within 24 hours of the workshop, or failure to attend on the day, are non-refundable.
If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your booking to another person or reschedule to a future workshop date (subject to availability).
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel or postpone a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule to another suitable date.
