Poppy Dangling Earrings
These lightweight dangling earrings are perfect to wear all year round, but especially in April months when we as New Zealanders commemorate and honor all service personnel who died in conflict and wars fighting and protecting our country, and those who returned safely back to us. "Lest we forget".
The poppy (normally red) is used as a symbol for Anzac Day, and all other war remembrance and is used as a universal emblem of sacrifice and resilience. The poppy was the only plant who grew in the battlefields of World War 1 in France and Belgium, and was thought to represent the blood shed of fallen soldiers.
It's a privilege and a honour being able to make jewellery that holds so much meaning.
