Kākā Dangling Earrings
 
There is something so special about the sound of native birds in the bush — that sudden moment when everything feels still, and you are reminded how deeply beautiful this land is. These Kākā earrings were inspired by those moments.
 
The kākā has such a strong presence: curious, clever, a little cheeky, and full of character. I wanted to capture a small piece of that spirit in silver.   Each pair is handcrafted in my studio using traditional silversmithing techniques, with care taken in every detail. Because they are made by hand, no two pairs are ever completely identical, and I think that’s part of their beauty — they feel alive with their own little personality.
 
These earrings are for those who feel most at home outdoors, who notice the small details, and who want to wear something that carries a sense of place and story. A little piece of Aotearoa to keep close, and a celebration of one of our most beautiful native birds.
